Peter-James Miller B.V.M.&S.

CHIEF OF STAFF
Dr. Miller was born and raised in New York City. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville for his undergraduate coursework. In his third year at UF, he was accepted early into the Royal School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh, famous for cloning “Dolly” the sheep, is one of the oldest and most highly recognized veterinary schools in the world. Dr. Miller graduated from Edinburgh in 1999. He has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in Central Florida for almost twenty years. Dr. Miller has been the owner of Merritt Animal Clinic since 2007. For over a decade, our clients have come to appreciate a higher standard of veterinary care at our practice. He contributes a lot of the practice’s success to the close-knit team at Merritt Animal Clinic, as well as their dedication.

His main areas of interest are Internal Medicine and Dermatology. He finds it particularly rewarding to alleviate allergy problems in pets. Helping to make them more comfortable. Dr. Miller prides himself on being thorough and spending extra time with patients.


Kimberley Ruman


PRACTICE MANAGER, HEAD VETERINARY TECH

Kimberley grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. She moved to Vero Beach Florida in 1990 where she began her career at the Indian River Humane Society. After 4 years working there, she entered into private veterinary practice. Kimberley has been a veterinary technician for over 20 years. She joined Merritt Animal Clinic in 2007 as Practice Manager and Head Veterinary Technician. A true leader, Kimberley’s hard work and dedication has always been a benchmark for our team.

As Practice Manager and Head Veterinary technician, there is not a job that she cannot do at our practice. She is an integral part of assuring everything runs smoothly, and that our clients and patients receive the best of care. Kimberley attributes her passion from her love of two things; the science of Veterinary medicine and for helping pets.

Nichole Relyea


LEAD VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Nikki has lived throughout the United States, because of her father duty in the United States Navy. However, she spent the most time in New Hampshire and considers it her second home. She moved to Florida in 2004 where she started working as a Veterinary Technician. Nikki has been a Veterinary Technician for well over a decade. Nikki joined Merritt Animal Clinic in 2007. As a Veterinary Technician, she particularly enjoys placing catheters, drawing blood and assisting in surgery. She has a passion for helping educate owners about their pets’ care. Nikki’s attention to detail and speed in which she accomplishes tasks makes her a highly valued team member at our practice. Nikki works very hard at insuring our patients get high quality medical care, and she is considered the back bone of our treatment and surgery areas.
